Mr. Lamoriello.

Super Rookie @ 7:22 pm

My dad used to tell me stories about his old Math teacher at Johnston High School in Rhode Island. He would talk about how his old teacher used to be the coach of the mighty Providence Friars hockey team and then became the Athletic Director at that school before eventually becoming the General Manager for the New Jersey Devils. I kind of believed him, but just figured it was one of those stories that dads enjoy telling their kids. Kind of like the classic, “uphills both ways to school.”

Well. As it turns out, Lamoriello was a math teacher at Johnston High School. It is probably a good guess that he knew of my grandfather who was the principal of the school. So, yeah, I guess I should be a fan of the Devils. Afterall, Rhode Islanders tend to stick together.

Lou Lamoriello

Kind of a classy looking guy.
