Reality Check. Landis Is An Ass.

Super Rookie @ 6:53 am

I went to the track last night. One of my favorite things about the track is that you have to pay attention at all times or it will come back to bite you in the ass. I believe this is why all of the roadies in the area refuse to “man-up” and come to Blaine. How does the track bite you in the ass? Go read Lalla’s blog for his little write up.

The track almost got me last night. I was riding with the National Champ and my rear wheel slipped out from under me. I was able to keep it up, but it definitely messes with your brain. The season starts next week. I am assuming this is why there were over 30 people up there training last night. In addition to people training there was a lot of work being done on the concession stand and grounds of the facility.

That good form I thought I may have been coming into isn’t really showing up.

This yelling thing was just stupid. I have been in Smithers shoes before and it sucks.

If you aren’t busy on Saturday head up to the Velodrome and help Bob with some of the maintenance. There will be a bunch of people up there helping out. Join us for all the fun AND pizza.

This story just hit the wires. Why can’t Landis just take it like a man? He doped. Now he is pulling out all the stops and going after USADA. I think this hilarious that they have gone this low. Believe me, I don’t like Lance as much as the next guy….

  1. You’ve been in Smithers’ shoes, but to be honest you’ve been “that guy” too. It happens, but think it’s safe to say that both parties have learned better. Nobody wants our track to be T-Town.

  3. When I was up at the track for my training debut a few weeks ago, my front wheel slid out on my second lap – I managed to stay upright, but it scared the shit out of me. It was a good reminder for my first ride of the season, but I think the track is just slick right now.

  4. I crashed months ago on the track and didn’t have the opportunity to get back on it right away. In fact I’ve only ridden ADT a couple times since. Slow pace lines mess with my head, but when I’m shoulder to shoulder pimping to the line I feel fine…go figure.
