We are Ok. Family is all accounted for. Lets pray and hope for all involved.
Thanks for all of the phone calls from those that care.
Story here.
We live about 1mile north of the bridge. Luckily we hardly take this span, but we usually do ride our bicycles under it.
It’s kind of bizarre when something like this happens in your town.

Glad to hear you, family, and friends are good – I hope you get no bad news on anyone you know and that the folks involved with this accident come out as best they can.
A touch surreal indeed.

My brother is one of those near miss stories (OK, 2 hours isn’t 30 seconds, but it is close enought). He lives south of DT and rides West River a lot. He rode under two hours before it happened.
My sis took 3rd Ave 40 minutes before it happened because 35W was too busy.
Thank God both are safe… prayers for those that cannot say the same.

Glad you guys are ok. It is truly amazing to me that the outcome was not so much worse. I hate the term “miracle”, but it seems to fit this.
