Nice Commentry.

Super Rookie @ 10:59 pm

I write about my favorite football soccer teams and I get a ton of comments, granted a bunch of them were mine.

Could be worse, I could be an Arsenal fan.

Today at work I did a bunch of research on divesting in Darfur / Sudan. I came across this website: Sudan Divestment Task Force. It allows you to punch in the ticker symbol of the mutual funds you may, or may not be invested in. Then you can see if you are investing in some offending companies. We all know that there are bad companies out there, but the ability to tell if your investments are criminal with a direct focus on Sudan / Darfur is a pretty damn good idea and can lead to some responsible investing.

Granted, you have to make enough money to have various mutual funds etc…

The Sudan Divestment Task Force has also been successful in getting various state governments to place their pension funds in companies and funds that have nothing to do with the oil companies (namely PetroChina) that are the root cause to the issues in Sudan.

It isn’t a perfect system, but it is at least a start.

Check it out if you are interested.

Spencer produced a pretty bad ass flyer for the MCF Banquet.

I am sure there are the haters out there about it, but hot damn it is awesome:
