No Shutout. Plan B is Wrong.

Super Rookie @ 1:00 am

I just got done playing my first game of competitive hockey in about 2 years. I think the score was 15-1. We really took it to them considering we scored our only goal with 13 seconds left in the game. Ha. I thought it was funny as we really beat them “in the mind.” The game was ridiculous. We were playing against a bunch of 18 year old hot shots that were playing with a “suck hole” on the far blue line while up 10-0. That was some playground isht and I let one of the kids have it when I rubbed him into the boards keirin style.

The fact that we scored with so little time left is wonderful. The goalie and the rest of that team were so peeved.

A few posts down there is a comment discussion going on about our new team and how we are/not contributing to the local cycling scene. Plan B was quick to point out that we have taken all of our riders from other teams. I would like to respond to this acquisition. First off, Plan B lives in Indiana and is mad that it sucks. Second, if you count (dis), gwen and myself as being stolen from other teams it may look like we are dirty, but in actuality of the 20(or so) riders that we have in line for next season only 6 (7 including Karla) are taken from other teams. We have at least 6 unattached riders joining up and quite a few new riders as well.

I believe the proper term is…booya

Tyler Hamilton signed a contract. He is even going to be the team leader. The team, Tinkoff Credit Systems, has also been linked to going after Basso, Ullrich and a vast array of dopers from Operation Puerto and the like. It really is a shame that Mancebo is retired as he would fit in real nice.

While riding down the street the other day a jackass turned in front of me and put his turn signal on 2/3 of the way through the turn. Thanks for telling me you were turning.

Word on the street is that the Little Guy is going to be hitting the gym. He won’t be so little anymore…Grumpys/LGR is official according to the USCF…One more week left in NASCAR and the #48 might pull it off…That’s all.

  1. It’s obvious that any new team is going to need experience. You’re not going to find that among the ranks of UA riders.

This just goes to prove (dis)’s point about our control of history.

  2. 1st: It’s nice that you allow us non-bloggers to post comments on your site. I’m glad someone still lets the riffraff in

2nd: I’d like to congratulate you on the new team and wish you luck in your efforts. It’s a no brainer that you need bodies from other teams to get started, I’m sure Plan B was joking around or just suffering from the effects of some post-graduate economics class on the effects of bio-diesel in New Hampshire

3rd – I went to Winona St and was at the Gopher BB game the other night. That was SOOOOOO awesome!

  3. I think Plan B might also be reacting to the last part of this post.

  4. Hey, I’m just asking the question, because all I read about are riders that I thought raced for Birchwood, Cat 6, or Velo Bella. But if you’ve signed up 13 or so new riders, then I am impressed! Good luck with your new team!

  5. If your not happy with your current “team”…example people are not fun, no team work (just because your a 4-5 that does mean you cant have team work,) no sense of humor or just want to plan old meet new people, why wouldn’t you move to a new “team?” Plus there’s a lot of UA riders out there iching to feel needed…

You shouldn’t feel obligated to be on a team you don’t like. Remember most of the time you pay the team to race with there kit not the other way around.

  7. For the record, if I have any breaking news about switching teams, MY blog will be the first to announce it.
